What kind of wooden flooring would go with cherry doors?
I have cherry (dark, reddish) wooden doors in my house and wanted to get lighter coloured wooden flooring. What kind of wood should I go for?

See how maple would look. It’s a good medium brown with a fine grain. Oak is a medium brown but it’s got a lot more dominant, wider grain.
I envy you your doors, mine are hollow white painted cheap.
Brazilian Cherry is drop dead gorgeous, but pricey. About $7.00 a sq ft

Well, traditionally a lot of people would choose to match the stain on the doors with the stain of the doors, but that’s really not that important in contemporary design. It’s pretty common, not to mention attractive, to mix and match different colors and species of wood.
