Fixing Polished Timber Floors From Scratches

Have scratches on them from moving furniture and dog claws. Is there a cheap way of covering the scratches?

  • You can colour them with floor marker/stain pens, you can wax your floors, or you can do what I do and leave them. Hubby refers to the marks as character lines..there are stories in all the dents/scratches. It is just part of living a real life with wood flooring, children and animals.

  • I had this same problem with my floors, and here’s how I fixed it.

1/. No more doing the wild thing on the floor during a full moon.

2/. If you can’t resist breaking the 1/. rule occasionally, then put some soft pads on the furniture legs so when they don’t scratch the floor when they get flung out of the way.
