  • cameltoehunter:

if this guy is getting paid by the hour , hes not going to have much of a pay cheque

  • cleberinthearea:

He’s probably getting paid by the square footage.

  • brianwurst1234:

I dont get it. Hes too chubby to be on meth. How so fast?

  • stretchman73:

Look at the video again! The baseboards are raised so the flooring slips under! I have been installing floors for a long time and woudlnt make that sort of remark without considering the obvious.Have another look.

  • stretchman73:

It looks like he slips it just under. The look like 20mm Baseboards so slipping under by 5mm is more than enough expansion

  • stretchman73:

You obviously do not install timber flooring for a job otherwise you would realise how it is done.

  • stretchman73:

You are a fucking idiot. You need to change your name cos you certainly are not a floorman! lol

  • floorman4life:

look at the start of the video, you can clearly see where he cut the jambs, the base is not up 3/4″. watch this guy nail, staple-hammer-skip to the middle of the board- stapleonce- end of the board gets three. come to the ATL., been installing wood since you were shitting green.

  • huskerforlife:

fast but spacing of the staple is off. and i really thing staples are not the best way to do this. A power cleat is better. Made by powernail.

  • tricityfloors:

    Great Work Guys !!!

the installer could of worked slower and get the same result, just wasting staples, a staple every 2-3″ too much the groove might crack after it is installed and is acclimating. You know what I mean.., Otherwise Nice Work,

  • tricityfloors:

huskerforlifere: I strongly disagree about power clit nails. 2″ or even 1-3/4″ staples hold the boards together stronger. Try removing an existing hardwood floors that was nailed and compare it with staples, you’ll see the HUGE difference..,

  • tricityfloors:

the spacing between joints are too close (must be at least 6″ and 2 rows across… “ladder looking floor just doesn’t do it” SLOW down and rethink you floor laying “puzzle”

  • huskerforlife:

tricityfloors: i thought the same thing. But after learning what the fastener is really doing. The fastener needs to move a very small amount when the wood moves. Where the powernail cleat will move but will not loose holding power. The staple will not move with the wood and we all know wood moving is much stronger then a pice of 16 gage steel the staple will loose all holding power after 15 20 years .NWFA MANUAL BOOK

  • citywidehardwood:

powernail cleat is better then a staple yes, yes, yes

  • AppletonCarpenter:

your on drugs dude staples will own your cleats

  • moesatoes:

    Nice stairway to heaven dude!!
Just because its faster like that doesnt mean it looks better. Try doing that with a 7″ hand scraped and your customer should escort you out the door.

  • citywidehardwood:

we all know staples hold better but thats not what you want .i dont know why no one can get that in there head.

  • EvoPiaFlo:

There is no way that a staple is stronger than a nail going into a floor joice below. Give me a break.

  • howtokillawerewolf:

    that dude is doin work!

  • zedosix:

he’d be good on the drums!

  • saksenaz123456:

    too interesting!

  • bigwalt2990:

that’s fast. but theres hours aligning board placement, cutting end boards, racking it out. Can’t do that with pre finish wood.

  • hall1001:

i’ll be impressed when you start cuting for yourself and go that fast. And who puzzled out all that wood for you? waste of time dude.

  • junkni:

This is why you should try and do the work yourself and not call contractors for every damn thing!
